Rhett was able to meet his cousins (on my side) for the first time. He's still a bit young to enjoy them, but I think they enjoyed him.
The lowlight was: running what-was-supposed-to-be-8K-but-ended-up-being-an-8-miler. Sigh. Next time we'll find an easier-to-find race to run. I was just happy Chuck didn't puke in my dad's car.
A note about Rhett's headband. Since giving birth to a boy, I've been slightly jealous about all the headband-ery that I'm missing. All it takes is one look at the very top picture to see how cute Emmy's headband is. So I set out to find one that would be suitable for a boy, and what you see above is what I found. I'm in love with it.

sweeeet.
Yeah, for real e, that headband is WAY cool. And i'm not a fan of head-squisher baby headbands. But that one is stellar.
Sounds like you guys had a fun trip. I have to agree with everyone; that headband is pretty darn cute.
I love the picture with your dad and Rhett!
And man, what I wouldn't give for a summer evening in Utah. It's about 12:30 a.m. here and still about 95 degrees.
Wow, Rhett is getting so big and cuter every day! Love the sweatband...I would totally have to do the same thing. Although it might be kinda nice not always have to try to make everything so cutesy!
NICE....and NO really I hope it wasn't a low light, I"m glad we did it, I just didn't know I had it in me!!! :)
I'm going to find some "headbands" for my boys now too!!!
