But last week was I reminded of an even better long-lost favorite: the frozen chocolate-dipped banana. My mom used to make these for us (FHE treat, maybe?) but I don't think that I've had one since becoming an adult. And that's just too long to go without one. But last week I made a batch of six half-bananas and have been eating one a day since. Today's is going to be the last. Sniff.
All hail the frozen chocolate-covered banana!
NCKuhn: Is this picture any better?
P.S. I am having another hot dog for lunch today. This time with the mustard.

I used to love frozen chocolate covered bananas when I was a kid, but I have to say that I'm a bit afraid that it might be one of those things that I liked as a kid but would find repulsive as an adult. I find that I love the bananas flavor, but cannot handle the mushy consistency of the banana itself. Frozen would fix it until is starts to melt in your mouth. I don't think that I could handle that.
FYI you can get frozen bananas at any beach boardwalk. You may need to look, but you can find.
Lastly, that picture looks anything BUT appetizing. In fact, it almost looks kinda dirty.
nope, they won't disappoint. i had no problem with the banana melting into a mush as i ate it. it stayed frozen the entire 8 seconds it took me to eat it.
re: the picture. i'm afraid most pictures of bananas could be dirty. plus, it's hard to find a picture of these beauties.
MUCH better picture. Thanks. good luck clepto-ing the mustard.
i have to say i have absolutely never enjoyed or craved those things. hmmm. makes me wonder about you...
gosh, i had no idea that people didn't like these things! sorry, linda and nckuhn, but i wonder about you! :)
p.s. although i think linda is on to you, erin. . .
I think they sound yummy!
I like the new heading!
Oh, I LOVE FROZEN BABNANAS! I don't like them dipped in chocolate, but we currently have an entire arsenal of unpeeled wrapped-in-plastic-wrap bananas in our freezer. Yum!!!
p.s. Love your new format!
