I Told You I Was Feeling Green...

Another peek into the house.

I finished these cafe curtains for the kitchen when the tension rods finally arrived yesterday. (This picture doesn't show the second window.)

And the interesting branch above the cutout? I think it's one of those things you either love or hate. Obviously, I'm feeling the love.

I love those. How did you get those - I don't even know what they are called - the metal piece the rod slides through? Do you need something special to attach them? And, where did you find the fat rod? Love the fabic too - where'd you get that?

the fabric and the grommets came from here: http://www.jcarolinecreative.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?page=JC/CTGY/1018a. they don't call them grommets; they call them "deco rings." but they are super easy to attach to fabric. nothing special needed except scissors.

the fat rod was found at acehardware.com.

owning your own home rocks, you can do what ever you want and if you don't like it, you change it!

We were so glad to see you and Chuck and Rhett buy our house and
see how nice it looked. You put the
crib where my 2 kids cribs were and
the back was a playroom for them when they were growing up. I think
you decorate a whole lot better than I did. You got good taste. I
hope the grouchy neighbor hits it
off well now that we told them we
knew you. I think we were the only
ones he liked in the neighborhood
he asked us if you were LDS and when we told him you were he was
really happy. His name is Dan and
he seemed to hit it off well with
Chuck. Thanks for letting us stop
by. Come visit when you come see
your parents.
thanks
John and Vicky

Erin, I have to admit that I'm really jealous of your house, but in a good way. Beautiful house and what great taste in decorating! Love greens and yellows in a house.

love all the little details. good to know about the rings. I was envisioning something sturdy like that whenever I get around to doing the sliding door in the family room where the kids do their crazy play.
